Varsity Public Speaking: Keynote!
A Communicate with Confidence III student has reached Varsity level.Â
In this course, students transform initial ideas into a formal keynote address to a public audience, replete with training from expert coaches. Our 24-week program elevates young people as they prepare and practice a meaningful 10-minute delivery, prepare for the event, and speak confidently to inspire an audience with youthful intellect and energy.
"Keynote Speaker" sets you apart on your resume and college applications. A great conversation piece! Students earn a trophy of completion and qualify to apply for a Resound Institute internship.
Public Speaking II
Communicate with Confidence II students are now comfortable with the basics of public speaking and ready to take their skills to the next level! Creating, organizing, and styling a speech, telling stories, working the room, connecting emotionally to the audience, using good word choice, mastering voice inflection and emphasis are just some of the skills a Resound Institute Intermediate student acquires.

Intro to Public Speaking
Step into public speaking with this dynamic, in-person course. Students learn speaking posture, hand gestures, eye contact, vocal variety, and how to articulate and speak clearly in conversational or impromptu scenarios.

Students practice persuasive speech and poetry, offer toasts and sales pitches, and even step into acting! All while honing the skills of quality content, enunciation, projection, tone, and the purposeful pause.Â

For high school students competing in competitive middle and high school debate leagues.

Policy, Value & Parliamentary Debate
This course expands upon foundational skills and fortifies student skill sets to master advanced techniques, dominate the 15 types of arguments, and:
Learn successful research techniques.
Wield rhetorical mechanisms to win the hearts of the audience.
Dissect and critique evidence.
Employ hand gestures, eye contact, tone, pauses, and emphasis while proving a point.
Analyze a debate and improve after it.

Weekly debates with coach feedback help debaters practice and improve their skills.
Intro to Debate
Immerse yourself in the fundamentals of debate. Discover how to construct arguments, take notes (flow), synthesize and organize your speech, refute the other side, spot flaws or fallacies in your opponent's points, show why your arguments are stronger, ask and answer questions under fire, and more. In each class, students have the opportunity to debate and put their skills into practice.
